URTI International Grand Prix 2012

(ENG) The Palestine radio station was the second in the region after radio-Cairo, and was established by the British Mandate authorities in order to have an influential media tool and gain the Arab masses towards the British policies in the region. However, the Arabic section of the station had different objectives and priorities.

The film is a powerful document, it covers the cultural life in Jerusalem and Palestine before the Nakbeh; featuring the most prominent personalities from Palestine and the Arab world who had contributed and enriched Palestine’s culture from all it’s aspects. 

(FR) La radio palestinienne a été la deuxième dans la région, après radio-Cairo, et a été établie par les autorités britanniques afin d’avoir un media d’influence et gagner le consentement des populations arabes vis à vis des politiques anglaises dans la région. Toutefois, la section arabe de la station avait des objectifs et des priorités différentes. 

Le film est un document puissant, il couvre la vie culturelle à Jerusalem et en Palestine avant Nakbeh; il présente les personnalités le plus influentes de Palestine et du monde arabe qui ont contribué à l’enrichissement de la culture palestinienne dans tous ses aspects.
